HaHa. Yesterday I went to the Canucks SuperSkills event. it was sooooooooo much fun! I don't even want to type it out & explain cuz my hands are still shaking. Before the main event, there was a 30min old-timers hockey game. I was like great, "I came early just to see a bunch of Old Geezers skate and trip." Nuh-uh. I saw some of my old FAVOURITES. First, I saw DAVE BABYCH. good ol' #44. Then #21 JYRKI LUMME!! haha. so great. Then i screamed & started hyperventilating. wearing the old #7 jersey..... DRUMROLL..... drrrrr... CLIFF RONNING!!!! He looked like a little cutesy wutsy teddy bear. so tiny, especially with those huge hockey equipment on him. Unbelieveable. It was so great. He did this crazy move during a breakaway where he took the puck with the tip of the end of his hockey stick, did a 360 & tried scoring. That wouldve been such a sweet goal. It was unbelieveable. i was in the same room as these legends. i'm not worthy!
But the funniest part of the oldtimers game was the old referee. He was celebrating his 82nd birthday. he looked soooooooo funny! too bad i didnt take any pix of him. Just imagine Mr. Magoo in a ref's uniform on skates & u got the 82 yr old ref. so funny.
Anyway, by 1pm it was time for the main event. I tried taking soooo many pix of the canucks, but even when they would skate sooooo slowly it was still to fast for me to capture it. whatever. i don't care.
I'm gonna try to develop the pictures as soon as possible so i can mistify you all with my pix of Markus, Trevor, Ryan, Roberto, Matt, Matias, Josh, Taylor, Alex, Luc, Daniel, Henrik, and all my big Boys. (Yes, we are on a first-name basis only....we're all tight like that.) whenever Luc Bourdon would step on the ice or the announcer would announce his name.... EVERYONE would bellow Luuuuuuuuuuuuuuc. the first time everyone said that, my friend said "why are they booing him?" haha. so funny. It reminds me of LUI PASSAGLIA way back when, when played for the BC Lions and everyone would go "Luuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuui." so great, so great. anyway, there was one moment when Markus Naslund stood by the glass right in front of me, but his back facing me, and i screamed out "MARKUS!" and he turned around and tried looking for that voice. *sigh* He wanted to find me. HeHe. ah memories. Still fresh in my mind. ok, well, i'll post those pix as soooon as i can so that all of you can enjoy it. although, i have a feeling that 85% of my pix are gonna be blurry. doesnt matter how slow they skate it's still too fast for me or my camera to take the pic. well, tomorrow i'll go to Stupidstore & develop my pix. Yes, I said Develop. I go film. I'm old school baby! -Later Dayz- |
